1. David De Gea - 7 - Made two decent saves from Debuchy at the end of the first half and a touch off Vidic for Cabaye's goal makes it difficult to place any blame on him for the result.
2. Rafael - 5 - Still rusty after his spell out and didn't get forward much meaning he was taken off for the more attacking outlet of Valencia.

15. Nemanja Vidic - 4 - His passing in the first half was woeful. He was slow on the ball and was often kicking it up field to no-one in a panic. Kept Remy quiet for large periods of the game but definitely looks to be going through a dip in form.
3. Patrice Evra - 4 - An absolute liability at left back. Caught napping for the Debuchy effort at the start of the first half and allowed Sissoko to go past him with ease for the goal. Needs to be more disciplined.

17. Nani - 5 - Struggled to make an impact and was inconsistent as always meaning he was substituted after Newcastle scored.
23. Tom Cleverley - 5 - Made some decent cross-field passes and had a shot blocked in the first half. Probably one of his better games but still did nothing of considerable note.
